Urshworks Bio

Ursula Dale grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa.  It was only after a move to rural Kwa Zulu Natal, that she started exploring various hobbies and art mediums.  It was during this time that the love for arts was cultivated.  Although deciding to pursue a career in travel once she completed her study’s.  It was only after the birth of her daughter’s, that the love for ceramics was re kindled.  She feels that the artistic exchange between traveling and the artist opens up so many opportunities.

Her work is inspired by the various African tribes.  Being exposed to the Herero’s and Zulu’s as a young child visibly impacted her work.  The fabrics, texture and bead work are clearly visible in her ceramic work.

Ursula works from her studio in Cape Town.  She has showcased her work at local exhibitions and continually exhibit’s at International exhibitions.
